Double Nova Bass 'D'

Our Double Nova Bass Flute in the key of 'D' minor is tuned to the frequency of 440 Hz, and is handcrafted from a single piece of sustainable, domestic Spanish Cedar wood, which features a warm, full musical voice. The decorative engraving is inspired by the theme of feathers, like the other flutes in our Double Nova Series.

The Double Nova Bass 'D' flute has a low, deep tone that's meditative and steady. This bass flute is tuned in the key of low 'D' minor and can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of 'F'. This flute's dimensions are approximately:  21-inches long (53 cm) by 3-inches wide (8 cm) by 2-inches high (4 cm)

With our double flutes, you play the melody on one side of the flute while the other side of the flute plays the drone note in the root/tonic note of the flute, which creates the sound of two people playing at the same time.
