The musical key of 'G' minor is very versatile; it plays well with other instruments and it is compatible with a variety of different music genres such as: traditional, romantic, blues, jazz, world fusion, along with sound healing tones.

The Red Tail Hawk has a moderately deeper mid-tone voice, its approximately 21-inch (54 cm) length makes it a very accessible flute for most hand sizes. This flute is tuned in the key of 'G' minor but it can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "A♯"/"B♭".

For over 30-years, High Spirits Flutes has been handcrafting flutes from single piece of wood. We have become adept at the process of choosing planks with natural beauty and turning them into incredible sounding flutes. When you choose one of our flutes we guarantee its high-quality sound, its flawless craftmanship, and one-of-a-kind characteristic of the unique piece of wood that it's crafted from.

This is a six hole flute. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used on the third hole from the top of the flute, as seen in the product's images. Covering the third hole from the top makes the flute easier to learn to play. The leather hole cover can easily be untied and removed, giving the flute player the option of playing the instrument as either a five hole flute or a six hole flute.
