The Looking Wolf Signature Flute - key of "A" minor. This Signature Flute has wonderfully clear high notes and warm full low notes. Very little breath is needed to play the flute allowing easy control over the notes and playing techniques. It has strong amplitude and is very responsive giving the player an intimate feel for the notes being played. We have committed to making only one hundred of this Looking Wolf Signature Flute design in the key of "A".

The flute is tuned in the key of "A" minor and can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "C". It is crafted from aromatic cedar and hand polished to a fine finish with several layers of non-toxic oils.

Aromatic cedar is an exceptional tonal wood giving the flute voice a fine balance between clarity and warmth. The flute is accurately tuned so it can easily be accompanied by other instruments.

When we decided to create our Signature Flute Series we asked Jan Looking Wolf for his advice and input to craft the very best flutes possible. The end result was so appealing to Jan that he decided to work with us to create a custom design that represents his artistic vision.

In addition to creating his ONE HEART project which shares Native American traditional music with students all over the world, Jan is also a four time NAMMY awards winner, including "Artist of the Year". His eighteen internationally released CD projects have helped to spread the magic of the Native American Flute.

The Looking Wolf Flute represents Jan's artistic vision of his heritage. Because of his global vision of "Unity and Diversity" he chose to inlay hematite cabochons whose ancient power was known to improve and strengthen friendship and family.

This flute is 20 inches (51 cm) long.
