The Sparrow Hawk - key of "A" minor is one of our most popular flutes. It is easy to play and is ideal for first time flute players and those with smaller hands. All our flutes are sealed with non-toxic oils, which protect and amplify this flute's clear, bright musical voice.
Made from domestic Walnut, a hardwood, which makes it ideal for outdoor use such as hiking and backpacking. It is inlaid with Turquoise cabochons adding to the natural beauty of the flute, and enhancing its quality as functional art.
The flute is tuned in the key of "A" minor and can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "C". This flute is 19 inches (48 cm) long.
This is a six hole flute. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used on the third hole from the top of the flute, as seen in the product's images. Covering the third hole from the top makes the flute easier to learn to play. The leather hole cover can easily be untied and removed, giving the flute player the option of playing the instrument as either a five hole flute or a six hole flute..
Each flute is eligible for our free "Beginner/Intermediate How-To-Play" instruction, which includes an instructional booklet with fingering charts and DVD.
