Nova Double Flute 'high B' - Spanish Cedar

With a double flute you play the melody on one side and the other side provides the drone in the root note of the flute - so it sounds like two people are playing!

Our Nova Double Flute in the key of 'high B' is our 2022 design, which features two small feather engraving on the mouthpiece plate. For the 2024 Nova 'high B' design (coming soon) we simplified the design by removing these two small feather engravings from the mouth-plate.

This Nova double flute is the highest octave in the Pentatonic key of "B" minor and can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "D". The dimensions for this flute are:  12.25-inches long (31 cm) by 2.25-inches wide (6 cm).

Our Nova double flutes are handcrafted from domestic Spanish Cedar, which is a softwood that gives them a warm, full musical voice. Our Double Flutes have two mouthpieces so you can play it as a double flute or a single flute instantly.
