Our One-Inch Bore Condor Bass flute in the key of 'E' minor is ideal for people with smaller hands because the reduced size of the fingering holes and its shorter length. It's great for those who are excited to play a deeper-toned flute but have had a tough time with the large fingering holes, bore size, and length of traditional sized bass flutes.

Ebonized Walnut flutes are handcrafted from Walnut wood, which is then ebonized by going through a time-consuming, multi-step process that involves being dipped multiple times and repeatedly sealed with coats of non-toxic oil, to create the final look and finish along with an enhanced tonal voice that is crisp, clear, and defined.

The flute is then completed with decorative Turquoise cabochons to enhance the natural beauty of the instrument and adding to its character as both a musical instrument and a piece of functional artwork.

It pairs beautifully with any of our other flutes on the key of 'E' minor, especially our high-tones. This flute is approximately 25-inches (63.5 cm) in length.

This is a six hole flute. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used on the third hole from the top of the flute, as seen in the product's images. Covering the third hole from the top makes the flute easier to learn to play. The leather hole cover can easily be untied and removed, giving the flute player the option of playing the instrument as either a five hole flute or a six hole flute.

More About Ebonized Walnut -
Ebonizing was a process used frequently in the early 20th century.  It was invented to make furniture that looked similar to real Ebony wood without the actual cost of that rare and highly-prized wood.  Unlike staining, ebonizing penetrates deep into the wood's fibers giving brown Walnut wood a similar look to that of black Ebony wood.
