The High Spirits Condor Bass in the key of "B" minor is the lowest wooden bass flute in our Condor Series. The deep voice of this flute is ideal for the methodical rhythms of meditative compositions and accompanying other instruments. We recommend that you have some experience playing the Native Flute or other wind instruments.
Crafted from Spanish cedar, a soft wood, which is extremely light weight with a warm and resonant voice; the flute is hand finished with non-toxic oils that seal and protect the flute.
The Condor Bass "B" is a good accompaniment flute for the White Tail Hawk Flute key of "B". Although several other notes are available, this flute is best described as a single-octave instrument.
This bass flute has 6-holes. We provide a leather tie for the 3rd hole from the top of the flute (known as the 6th hole) giving you the option of playing it as either a 6-hole, or as a 5-hole flute when the leather tie covers the 6th hole.
The length of this flute is 29 inches (74 cm) long.
Watch Odell's video explainer on Spanish Cedar to learn more about the unique look of the wood and its qualities.
Sometimes the natural grain of Spanish Cedar gives the appearance of what may look like a check line but is actually the natural grain line in the wood. In the case of Spanish Cedar, it has naturally-occurring dark lines in the wood grain that could be mistaken for cracks in the wood.
Each flute (excluding our Pocket Flute & Eagle Bone Ocarina) automatically includes Odell's FREE 'How-To-Play' Instructional Materials which comes with: printed instructional booklet with fingering charts as well as an instructional DVD with both Odell's Beginner and Intermediate tutorial videos.
