Our Merlin flute in the key of high 'C' minor is handcrafted from a single piece of Madrone wood and features a Black Walnut wood fetish. The Madrone hardwood body of this flute gives this instrument a bright, crisp, clear, musical voice.
Our hardwood, high-tone flutes are easy to play, durable, and compact (approximately 15.6-inches | 45 cm) making them great outdoor activities. Merlin 'high C' flutes pair beautifully as high-tone accompaniments to our Condor 'C' minor bass tone flutes.
The Merlin 'high C' is a six-hole flute but we provide a leather hole cover that can be used for the third hole top of the flute, known as the 6th hole to allow the option of playing it as a five-hole (considered easier to learn to play) or as the more traditional six-hole flute.
