Red Tail Hawk - key of G - Aromatic Cedar

The High Spirits Red Tail Hawk in the key of "G" minor has a soothing, melodic voice. Being a very versatile key, it plays well with other instruments and works well with many different styles of music expression - native, romantic, blues, and jazz styles. This is a good flute for beginners and first-time players are often attracted to the key of "G" minor because it is playable but also has a deeper tone than our key of "A" minor flutes.

The Red Tail Hawk "G" flute is a great flute to accompany one of our other key of "G" flutes such as our Contra Bass "G" flute or our Pocket Flute in the key of "G".

The flute is tuned in the key of "G" minor and can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "A♯"/"B♭".

This is a six hole flute. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used on the third hole from the top of the flute, as seen in the product's images. Covering the third hole from the top makes the flute easier to learn to play. The leather hole cover can easily be untied and removed, giving the flute player the option of playing the instrument as either a five hole flute or a six hole flute.

This flute is 21.25 inches (about 54 cm) long.
