Our 432 Hz Chakra Flute is tuned in the key of high ‘C’ minor. We created our 432 Hz Chakra series to merge our traditional flutes with our sound healing, 432 Hz flutes. All our flutes are handcrafted from a single piece of wood at our workshop in the mountains of southern Arizona. This flute is made from Walnut, which is a hardwood, that provides the flute with a clear, crisp musical voice that’s especially present on the high notes.

Each of our flutes is hand-finished with a proprietary blend of nontoxic oils, which seals the flute with a satin shine and enhances the sound quality. This ‘A’ minor pentatonic flute can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale, in the key of ‘C.’ It's length is approximately 16-inches (39 cm.)

As an alternative, we also make a bass 'C' 432 Hz Root Chakra Flute, which is 27-inches (69 cm) long. It is a large flute with a very deep and beautiful musical voice but because of its size (fingering holes and flute diameter) we highly recommended it for those with large hands and/or wide fingers, or it will be very difficult to play.

In yogic philosophy, the Root Chakra (located at the base of the spine) is associated with the musical note of ‘C’, the color Red, the element of Earth; it is the first chakra known as Muladhara. It is considered the body’s energetic center for feelings of safety, security, and for grounding one's physical energy.

For most of the 20th century most musical instruments have been tuned to Concert Pitch, which is the ‘A’ note tuned to 440 Hz. Recently there has been an interest in revival frequencies for musical instruments. We developed our 432 Hz series to expand our tuning frequency options. To achieve this, we use a 432 Hz frequency for the note of ‘A’ and align all other notes accordingly. The tonal, 8 Hz difference between a flute tuned to 432 Hz versus 440 Hz is subtle yet it is the frequency of the sound waves, which are considered more significant.  The tuning frequency of 432 Hz is often associated with musical instruments used in the field of sound healing.

“When a certain note of the scale is produced, this is said to activate a certain corresponding chakra. When activated, this energy or aura is sent to the physical body. The Hindus call this subtle, divine energy Prana; the Chinese call it Chi, and the Japanese know it as Ki. It is sometimes called Kundalini…. Various tones and frequencies allow you to hear music through your bones and skin as well as with your ears. This type of vibrational therapy is often incorporated with other types of healing.” - Sally Fletcher, the Heavenly Harpist (www.heavenlyharpist.com)

For foundational harmony we recommend 432 Hz flute be played with other flutes in the same frequency rather than with those tuned to 440 Hz.

Our flutes are six-hole flutes. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used on the third hole from the top of the flute, as seen in the product's images. Covering the third hole from the top makes the flute easier to learn to play. The leather hole cover can easily be removed, giving you the option of playing it as either a five-hole or six-hole flute.
