Our Condor Bass 'E' minor (440 Hz) is handcrafted from a single piece of domestic Walnut wood. The density of hardwood creates a crisp musical sound quality with clear and defined high notes across the scale.

This flute is tuned in the key of "E" minor which makes it a good accompaniment  for guitars. We recommend bass flutes for intermediate to advanced players because of their larger hole size and their longer length. This flute is approximately 23 inches (58 cm) long.

Our flutes are handcrafted in the 'Sky Island' of southern Arizona, in the small mountain town of Patagonia. Founded by Odell Mulski-Borg, we've been handmaking our flutes in the USA since 1990.

This is a six hole flute. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used on the third hole from the top of the flute, as seen in the product's images. Covering the third hole from the top makes the flute easier to learn to play. The leather hole cover can easily be untied and removed, giving the flute player the option of playing the instrument as either a five hole flute or a six hole flute.
