Details

Our Preservation Golden Eagle flute in the key of "F#" minor (440 Hz) has a a haunting, ethereal musical voice that touches the heart and the spirit. It is the deepest musical key in our mid-tone flute series, which is often appealing to those who gravitate towards a bass-like musical voice. Though longer in length than the Red Tail Hawk 'G' flute, the Golden Eagle is still a great option for new players because of the smaller bore diameter, and manageable finger-hole sizes.

This flute's length is approximately 24-inch (61 cm) which makes it still a very accessible flute for most hand sizes. As such, it is not ideal for those with very small hands or those with limited hand movement.

Crafted from domestic, sustainable Aromatic Cedar wood. Aromatic Cedar has a range of colors from ginger-orange to burgundy-red, it can also showcase sapwood which is the yellow wood color also present in Aromatic Cedar. This flute is tuned in the key of "F♯" minor and it can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "A".

For over 30-years, High Spirits Flutes has been handcrafting flutes from single piece of wood. We have become adept at the process of choosing planks with natural beauty and turning them into incredible sounding flutes. When you choose one of our flutes we guarantee its high-quality sound, its flawless craftmanship, and one-of-a-kind characteristic of the unique piece of wood that it's crafted from.

This is a six hole flute. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used on the third hole from the top of the flute, as seen in the product's images. Covering the third hole from the top makes the flute easier to learn to play. The leather hole cover can easily be untied and removed, giving the flute player the option of playing the instrument as either a five hole flute or a six hole flute.
