Our Red Tail Hawk flute in the key of "G" minor (440 Hz) has a soothing, melodic musical voice. It has a deeper sound tone than our Sparrow Hawk 'A' flute but it remains an ideal choice for beginners just learning because it is easy to play.

Crafted from domestic, sustainable Aromatic Cedar wood it features Turquoise inlaid cabochons, which add to the decorative beauty while also enhancing the functional art quality of the instrument.

The musical key of 'G' minor is very versatile; it plays well with other instruments and it is compatible with a variety of different music genres such as: traditional, romantic, blues, jazz, world fusion, along with sound healing tones.

The Red Tail Hawk has a moderately deeper mid-tone voice, its approximately 21-inch (54 cm) length makes it a very accessible flute for most hand sizes. This flute is tuned in the key of 'G' minor but it can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "A♯"/"B♭".

This is a six hole flute, which comes with a leather hole cover that can be used to close the third hole from the top (as seen in the picture) to make learning to play very easy. The hole cover can easily be removed.
