In Spanish the word for Butterfly is Mariposa. Our Signature Mariposa flute was inspired by nature's cycles of transformation. Our flutes are a doorway into a journey of self-transformation, learning to hear and feel to our innermost Self; building harmony within and without.

This fluted is handcrafted from Quilted Maple (Acer macrophyllum) which is a rare grain figuring that occurs in Big Leaf Maple trees. The most dramatic figuring is often found in trees found in the Pacific Northwest. Each of our flutes is handcrafted from a single piece of wood, hand-finished with a Tung Oil blend that enhances and seals the voice of the flute. 

The Mariposa Signature Flute 'A' minor (440 Hz) can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of C.

It is 20 inches (51 cm) with a 1-inch (2.5 cm) bore diameter.  The body of this flute and the sculpted fetish is decorated with Hematite stone inlay. Hematite is a common iron oxide, and believed to be a powerful grounding stone from the mineral kingdom. It is thought to support focus in thoughts and actions, guiding you to what matters most.
