Our Two Hawk Double Flute is handcrafted in the key of "A" minor. Our Double Flutes have two mouthpieces so you can play it as a double flute or a single flute instantly, without adjustments. Crafted from domestic Walnut, which is a hardwood that gives the flute a clear, bright musical voice. This is our traditional double flute A-frame design.
Each flute is approximately 19-inches (48 cm) in length.
The Double Flutes are as easy to play as the Single Flutes, they just take more breath. With a double flute you play the melody on one side and the other side provides the drone in the root note of the flute - it sounds like two people are playing.
All Two Hawk double flutes include a leather hole cover, which when covering the third hole from the top, offers additional ease to new players by reducing the need for hand dexterity.
