Dear Odell and staff,
The Native Flutes and the gift of music have meant so much to me that I thought I’d share my story. I’m a twenty-seven year old from Cincinnati and have been a collector of your flutes for some time. I was given my first flute Christmas 2015, I played it and started learning. People shared with me that they enjoyed my playing and I saw that I was able to help others as well as myself. I became sober in March of 2016 and am still going strong. That same year mom got sick and was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). We lost mom about a month ago and, as she was in the hospital and dying, I frequently went and played the flute for her to help her calm and relax. Though she was unable to verbalize it I could tell she liked the music. Your flutes have helped me in my life in ways most people probably can’t imagine. Many people see the flute as simply an instrument but to me I see them as a connection to everything and everyone. I guess the best way to describe it is it connects me to my higher power.
Thank you again for everything.
Dave L.
