Nova 'A' Poplar Double Flute

With a double flute you play the melody on one side and the other side provides the drone in the root note of the flute - it sounds like two people are playing.

Our Double Nova Poplar flute in the key of 'A' is handcrafted from a single piece of domestic Poplar wood. Polar is a hardwood which gives the flute a crisp, clear musical voice. Poplar is light weight, features straight grain, and it's sometimes called Rainbow Poplar for its range of color highlights: from green, to purple, to gray.

This flute is tuned in the key of 'A' minor (440 Hz) but it can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of 'C'. Nova Double Flutes do not include a leather hole cover.
