Red Tail Hawk 'G' Walnut

Our Red Tail Hawk flute in the key of "G" minor (440 Hz) features our 2025 fetish design. The flute's voice is soothing and melodic. It's a very versatile musical key: it plays well with other instruments or works well with many different styles of music expression.

Because it is deeper in tone than the Sparrow Hawk "A", first time players are attracted to this key. For new players, this flute is best suited for those with medium hands or larger. For those with flute-playing or wind instrument experience, this flute is easily played by the most hand sizes.

The flute is tuned in the key of "G" minor and can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "A♯"/"B♭".  This flute is 21.25 inches (about 54 cm) long.

The Red Tail Hawk has a deeper musical tone than our Sparrow Hawk in the key of 'A' so it is often popular with first-time players. This flute is also a good accompaniment to our high-tone Pocket Flute in the key of "G".

This is a six hole flute. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used on the third hole from the top of the flute, as seen in the product's images. Covering the third hole from the top makes the flute easier to learn to play. The leather hole cover can easily be untied and removed, giving the flute player the option of playing the instrument as either a five hole flute or a six hole flute.
