Discover New Sounds - Relative Diatonic Major

Note: This scale allows you to play in a different key than the one your flute is based in. Because the tonic note (the first note in a scale) is also the key you are playing in, when you change the tonic note (as this scale does) the key you are playing in also changes. For example, if your flute is an “A” minor flute than learning this scale means you can also play it as a “C” major flute because the tonic note changes to "C". This is mostly important to know if you are playing with other people because it opens more key possibilities.
