First Hawk 'A' Poplar Wood

Our First Hawk flute in the key of 'A' minor is handcrafted from a single piece of Poplar wood (also known as Yellow Poplar) which is grown domestically and very sustainable. This is the ideal flute for any first time player because of its length, finger-hole size, body diameter, and price, all of which makes this an excellent flute choice for any new player. 

The flute's characteristics supports new players by allowing them to easily enjoy the process of learning while also building the foundational skills needed to play larger and more deep-toned flutes. 

This flute is tuned to the key of A minor, this flute can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of C, and it plays beautifully with all of our other flutes in the key of 'A' minor. Its length is 17.6-inches (44.45 cm.)

This is a six hole flute. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used on the third hole from the top of the flute, as seen in the product's images.

Covering the third hole from the top makes the flute easier to learn to play. The leather hole cover can easily be untied and removed, giving the flute player the option of playing the instrument as either a five hole flute or a six hole flute.
