Our EarthTone Spirit Flute in the key of "G" minor is handcrafted from a single piece of Spanish Cedar, which is a softwood that gives the flute a warm firm musical voice.
Our EarthTone flute series is tuned to the frequency of 432 Hz versus the traditional tuning frequency of 440 Hz. Tuned in the key of "G" minor, it can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "A♯ / B♭" 432 Hz.
It is engraved with a geometric pattern that is thought to be the visual representation of the 432 Hz frequency on a CymaScope, and it is decorated with Rainbow Moonstone cabochon inlay.
Our Spirit Flute EarthTone "G" flute is approximately 16 inches (40.6 cm) in length.
The 8 Hz of tonal difference are seemingly slight in degree but can be perceptibly different when experiencing the feeling of the music we hear. Much like the subtle inflection of the human voice that can project a subtle variation in feelings, an instrument using a slight change in frequency can alter the feeling quality of the music being played.
This is a six-hole flute but we provide a leather hole cover that can be used for the third hole top of the flute, known as the 6th hole to allow the option of playing it as a five-hole (considered easier to learn to play) or as the more traditional six-hole flute.
The following bags/cases are ideal for this flute:
