Our Preservation 432 Hz EarthTone Spirit Flute in the key of "G" minor is handcrafted from a single piece of Spanish Cedar Spanish Cedar is a softwood that gives the flute a warm, resonant musical voice.

Tuned in the key of "G" minor, it can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "A♯ / B♭" 432 Hz. This flute is approximately 16 inches (40.6 cm) in length.

Our EarthTone series features Rainbow Moonstone decorative inlay, engraving designs that represent the Cymascope geometric image for the sound frequency of 432 Hz, in addition to the flute's 'circle of life' fetish motif.

In the world of music there has been a revival of tuning instruments to lower frequencies of sound vibration. Until recently, most musical instruments have been tuned so that the 'A' note (of the middle octave on a piano) is tuned to 440Hz (Hz = cycles per second). This is known as Concert Pitch and was established as a standard at the beginning of the 20th century.

Our 432 Hz EarthTone flutes series align to the musical note of 'A' and then all musical notes accordingly. When played alongside flutes tuned to the frequency of 440 Hz the tonal difference is very subtle. The slight 8 Hz is slight but perceptible as it relates to the feeling vibration of the music. Similar to the subtle inflections of the human voice, which can project intonation and sublety, a musical instruments specific frequency can influence our experience of the sound.

This is a six hole flute, which comes with a leather hole cover that can be used to close the third hole from the top (as seen in the picture) to make learning to play very easy. The hole cover can easily be removed.

Our PRESERVATION COLLECTION was developed from our commitment to sustainability in the woodworking process, and our deep respect for the Earth's natural resources.

Preservation flutes are different from our regular flute collection because of small imperfections like minor shaping inconsistencies, stone inlay variations, design prototypes, unique wood qualities, or other cosmetic differences, which don't meet the aesthetic perfection of our regular flute line but never compromise their excellent sound quality.

Every flute in our Preservation Collection still meets our company's high-quality, American handcrafted, woodwind instrument guarantee, just at a deeply discounted value.
